The footbridge is known throughout Vallarta.  The boards to walk on are very unstable, uneven, wobbly and occasionally one of two boards are missing which will require a long step.  We were so terrified and not ready to have this experience but we did it anyway.   Just imagine, our fingers were woven through the fence, and we held the wire with a tight grip.  When we had about one-quarter distance to the other side, we saw a crowd of cheering school boys, wearing white dress shirts, blue pants, and the black oxford shoes. Their galloping and laughing clearly showed us that they have easily traveled passed.

Somehow we managed to the foot-bridge trip safe and sound.  Now, we have become skilled crossing for the foot-bridge even sometimes carrying heavy shopping bags from the market.  The miracles do not stop here as elderly women and men holding their walking cane and sticks walk over the bridge. The smooth walking of mothers holding their babies left us wondering as they passed by us.

We witnessed over the years the fall of the footbridge in disrepair and was renewed and put back in shape.  Unfortunately, the foot-bridge crumbled with the battering rising water of the River Cuale and was crushed.

Plans are being discussed to rebuild this icon in Puerto Vallarta with a secure and safer foot-bridge.  We hope the city will decide to replace the foot-bridge once the rainy season is over in October.  There are two bridges made of concrete on either side for the less brave to take the short-cut.

The local government officials in Las Penas, Mexico on May 31, 1918 made the announcement of giving the status of municipality to the town with the name of Puerto Vallarta. And, now after a century it has been the Mexico’s well-known destination for the tourists. Even, 4 million visitors are witnessed each year.

The town was remain a small village of fishing, before the plantations of bananas and other fruits and vegetables, and that made this city a big exporter of these things in the years of 1920. And, then the doors opened for the tourists to come and discover the tropical and striking beauty of Puerto Vallarta, by the 1930s.

Beside, possessing the natural beauty, the town had a good reputation of having its people friendly and so, the tourists from all over the Mexico are warm welcomed by them.

Then, after the inauguration of Guadalajara of Mexican airlines to the route of Puerto Vallarta in 1950s, the pathways become more easy and glamorous to the pacific coast of Mexico.

The fifties experienced the arrivals of many expats, among them; Jack Cowad was the prominent one. He actually lived in California, when he used to read a fishing village on the coast of Mexico and that caught his attention.

He, then depicted his experience of the tour of Puerto Vallarta, “I had always wanted to live in a small fishing village more than any other place in the world,” he further added, “We flew to Guadalajara and then took a small plane to Puerto Vallarta. There were few roads and few cars at that time so I got a horse.”

Then by 1950s, the town had become popularly known by thousands of people. Even, the Mexican and American writers and artists started come there for discovering the tranquil beauty and landscapes of the Bay of Banderas.

Cawood also shared his experience of his transfer into the Puerto Vallarta, about no hotels at the time when he moved to Puerto Vallarta with his family. So, he built a seven room hotel, which afterwards became a Playa del Oro and then a condominium of fifteen rooms.

Sharing the wonderful experience of fishing, he said, “The Americans were the first to come and fish,”, And, “Fishing was great so I bought a boat, one of many to come. We had lobster, shrimp, oysters, red snapper and a wide variety of other fish. The bay was good to us then.”

He was also happy by seeing his children playing in the River of Pitillal, which flow into the bay and is now known as the Hotel Zone, north of EI Centro.

Over the years, Puerto Vallarta became famous internationally after the making of John Huston “The Night of the Iguana” in the year of 1963”. The paparazzi on the beautiful Puerto Vallarta, plus the delicious gossip by The Elizabeth and Richard Burton made it recognized worldwide.”Our kids would come home with buckets of baby crocodiles to play with,” he said. “It never occurred to us that the crocodile kids would have parents nearby that would like to play with their children.”

“Everyone hung out at the Oceano Hotel’s bar back then,” Cawood said. “Liz and Dick were cordial to everyone. They lived in a couple of villas on the hill above the Cuale River, which was known as Gringo Gulch because of all the expats living up there.”

The ill reputation of the film became the key point in the growth of Puerto Vallarta’s tourism. Seeing this increasing tourism industry, the state of Jalisco put its money on building new bridges and roads and on the Gustavo Diaz Ordaz Airport, for fulfilling the purpose of direct flights accommodation from the international cities.

So, Mexico’s president approved the funds for fulfilling the purpose of this growing industry, in 1970. The year also experienced to have the first luxury hotel in the Puerto Vallarta, named as, The Camino Real, and then the series of Puerto Vallarta luxury houses and hotels started.

The city became crowded in the era of 80s and 90s, because of the sky rocketed tourism. Another expat Jeri Grant come here in 1980, but become stuck in the beauty of this attractive city.

“It was beautiful and green and the air was so fresh,” Grant said. “When I first saw it from the yacht, the whole town was a maze of white with red-tile roofs. It seemed magical.”

“Back then I think we had just one stop light and stop signs were treated as just a suggestion,” she said. “I really liked the way it felt living in Puerto Vallarta. Everybody was friendly and said hello and good morning. It was just an easy place to live and everyone was happy.”

Because of the warmth welcoming of people of this country, now Puerto Vallarta is in the top three tourist destinations in the country.

Along With, there also came the problems of traffic, high rise condominium construction, large crowd at the EI Centro and La Romantica-all the problems that a big city has to face.

The continuous development is being seen by the city, including building new garages for parking, extension of Malecon that turns towards the shoreline and the making of pedestrian-only streets.

One can say that an old girl has applied a new coat of lipstick, but still looks beautiful. She has a big heart for welcoming the tourists and expats. Youngsters come here for doing adventures, while the Baby Boomers choose this place for spending the time after their retirement.

Jack Cawood and Jeri Grant still lives there; in fact they can never leave this place.

“It’s hard to explain because it’s one of those things where the town just bites you and you’re done,” she said. “I feel very blessed to have spent half of my life here.”

The story starts right now from where the Avila met Thomas in the early 2000’s. Both men were working in the same restaurant, Avila as a food supervisor and Thomas as a managing partner. Later on, their friendship grew stronger because of having a shared love of travel.

Thomas once shared about his traveling experience that, “On my many trips to Mexico, I would usually pick a beach town to visit. I would mix up the different spots, but Vallarta kept calling me back”.  As he further added, the hotel we would stay in was next door to this Indian restaurant which was never open. One day passing by I mentioned to Carlos that it would make a great burger spot.

Craving a big ole juicy burger is obvious as Thomas could not find a burger place while visiting this beautify city of Puerto Vallarta, in 2011 the small Derby City Burger restaurant opened quickly with the menu of eight different burgers and had hardly one or two appetizers.  Just as the good chefs do, they also try their best to make their burgers better with mushrooms and took an idea of Swiss Burger, which did not disappoint them!

You must not ignore this mouth-watering burger whenever you visit Puerto Vallarta.   The beef has been imported from America. Then, it is layered with the onion rings, honey mustard, and BBQ.  Further, with pepper jack cheese and fresh chilies, it has been served. You can also add a fried egg for 10 pesos if you want to have it spicier.

From the month of May to October, it is considered to be the great place for many reasons. The number of people lives here are far less. And, that’s the thing tourist can use for their advantage. 20 best gardens and arboretums on the continent compete for this prestigious awards and VBG was the only garden in Mexico that was nominated.

In the past, only the gardens in the U.S were high on the list but this time VBGs achievement was marked the second time an international garden placed on the list.

The initial 20 results were picked by the board of specialists in light of their experience and learning. However, the top ten winners were based on population votes led at 10Best site.

On May 31, 2018, Puerto Vallarta will commemorate its 100th anniversary for its induction as a municipality and 50th anniversary as a city which will open the exuberant festivities for the travelers.

But, a little history, first…

During the first part of the 19th century, this attractive spot had no human dwellers and was inhabited mostly by crocodiles. The growth of silver mining towns in the 18th century led this city to become settled as a beach-spot. It also attracted the visitors – mine workers who came to view the recreation in the village. By the mid of the 1880s, it was recorded that around 800 people took shelter in that village.

Later, in 1851 Guadalupe Sanchez Torres from Cihuatlan commenced regular salt deliveries on his own by establishing a trading post on the banks of the Cuale River.

Guadalupe and his team used to rest on self- made tree trunks while the salts were being loaded on donkeys.

At the end of 1851, Guadalupe brought his family to LAS Penas de Santa Maria de Guadalupe and soon other families started to join him in the village. The village started to grow and the economy began to change. Families started to contribute to the rebuilding of the village especially in activities like agriculture or cattle raising.

Formerly, Puerto Vallarta was a tiny fisherman village named ‘Las Penas’ and in 1880 it had a population of 1500 inhabitants. The people of the village urged the government for municipality status and to their happiness on May 31st, 1918 the State Congress finally declared it as a municipal status and the name changed to “Puerto Vallarta.”

Since then, every year in May, Puerto Vallarta celebrates this occasion to show the love for the village. Some of the high-rated activities include snorkeling, sailing, beachside dining and much more. But, this year the celebrations are going to be bigger than ever!

To celebrate the historical timeline, government and members have include a week celebration that will be the blend of culture, arts, history and dance. To make this anniversary a history a series of events, parades and fireworks will be portrayed. It will start from 25th May and will last on 31st May 2018 – widely open to general public.

In February, Interjet introduced the non-stop routes from Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Guadalajara International Airport which purposed to serve business and leisure travelers.

The airlines further add that the flights will start operating on June 22.

As about the ticket prices of new flights, the fares from Houston to El Bajio start at $229 whereas the route from San Antonio to Mexican destination start at $259.

The daily flight for the passengers of San Antonio will depart at 12:10 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

While on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday it will depart at 11:05 a.m.

Interjet daily flight for Houston will depart at 6:40 p.m while the route from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to the Bajio Terminal will depart at 7:20 p.m

In January it also launched nonstop service from San Francisco International Airport to Cancun International Airport and Guadalajara International Airport, with the number of three flights per week.

“El Bajío is experiencing an ongoing social and economic revitalization,” Interjet CEO Jose Luis Garza said in a statement.

“It has become a strong business and economic centre and we’re delighted to be able to offer travellers to and from this area, our unique brand of lower prices with free checked bags on select fares, more legroom between seats and great service that has been embraced everywhere we fly.”

Mexico City based Interjet started flying to Houston in 2014 and flies to 55 travel spots in eight countries.

The new buses are being manufactured by DINA, a Mexican automotive manufacturer of heavy duty and specialty vehicles, and will have air conditioning, security cameras, information screens and a payment system for prepaid cards.

Eight buses went into operation earlier this month as an introduction to the local residents with another 90 buses being added systematically until December of this year when 332 new units will make up Puerto Vallarta’s only public bus system in operation.

“Puerto Vallarta is one of those places where tourists feel comfortable using our public transportation system to move about in the city,” said Javier Aranda Pedrero, Director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board. “We are working hard to provide a world-class bus system praiseworthy of Puerto Vallarta not only to our visitors but to our locals, many of which work to make Puerto Vallarta an international tourist destination.”

During the execution phase, Puerto Vallarta’s public transportation system will be hosting an introduction period to local authorities, hoteliers, and members of the local population to announce the service. Presentations will also be held at schools and brochures will be distributed to the bus riders using the current system to guarantee discovery of the new routes and payment system as much as possible.

The new public buses will run on propane, reducing pollution in the city. Drivers will also be trained to meet all the necessities of Jalisco’s Department of Transportation and to make sure that drivers no longer speed up to pick up passengers.

In addition, a new nighttime service with transport starting at midnight will also be added to provide service industry workers with secure transportation during the late hours when many locals travel to work at hotels, restaurants, tours, etc. The Buho (owl in Spanish) will operate the main routes of Puerto Vallarta.

“There’s a ‘humanity’ that is still here that is absent from the U.S.,” adds Nan. “It’s like a dream come true. You get revitalized when you get a chance to stay here.”

It initiated after a critical incident that changed Bobby’s life. He was struck by lightning while riding his motorcycle.

“After I got out of the hospital, I made a pact that I had to do something meaningful in my life,” explains Bobby, 57, who formerly had a nerve-racking occupation

Once middle-school lovers, Bobby and Nan revived their relationship later in life on Facebook, planned to give life another chance, and lived in Puerto Vallarta. At first, they decided to move in for seven years. This changed into three years, which then became just two months. They felt that it was necessary to be there and begin it all over again. In the end, it was an instant decision. But it went well, and they’ve been in the city for nearly three years.

“We sold all our belongings and came to get bus with only two suitcases with us. I can pack my house now in an hour. I’ve started to like it… we prefer being average,” says Nan, 56.

“She hadn’t been to Mexico before and Puerto Vallarta is a good place to start with,” says Bobby. He observes that the town is contemporary and meets the global standards but still tries best to keep many Mexican traditions alive.

The couple stays according to a fixed budget. And they find they can enjoy well in Mexico, even in Puerto Vallarta – which, due to all the tourism, can be very much affordable.

“We live on pesos; we’re aware of the costs,” says Bobby. “It happens all the time… people tell me the price of something, and I inquire, ‘Is that all?'”

Rent for their one-bedroom condo is $472 a month, which includes maid service and bottled water. There are also two swimming pools in their community.

Because they don’t use air conditioning much, their electric bill is $7.87 a month. “We leave our doors and windows open for the whole day,” says Bobby. They pay the same for cable TV and high-speed internet facilities too.

“We make sure that two people can easily live in Mexico for $1,000 a month, including rent, food, utilities, gas for the car… although there’s not much left for the extra activities,” says Bobby.

Their needs are basic and plain, and they like it that way.

“The thing I like best is that we don’t have to worry about a house or car payment. We’re debt-free. If it costs you your peace, it’s too expensive,” says Bobby. “There’s a huge freedom in not having debt. If we want, we can get the suite when we go on a cruise.”

Mexico has been nice to them. Moreover, they are here to stay for long.

“We moved to Mexico and made it work,” says Nan. “It’s a pleasant life here. I love Mexico and am eager wait to explore more of it.”

We are extremely thankful to the organizers of this annual event GrupoFolklorico Vallarta Azteca, which is certified by the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Art (CIOFF), a partner organization of UNESCO.

We are always thrilled to see performers in amazing outfits wandering on the streets prior to and after acts; we ask them to know which part of Mexico they belong to and affectionately welcome them to Puerto Vallarta.

The costumes alone are worth stepping out to turns heads at these shows. Before being accepted into the CIOFF program, it must be ascertained that regional dress is genuine and authentically constructed, and true to tradition as the dance and music. It is essential that acts symbolize the true traditions and culture and are inspired by a set of standards.

There is a heritage that has been moved on from generation to generation, constantly repeated and this must be characterized. A sense of individuality and connections are imperative to each performance, displaying variety, creativity, history, and natural regional settings.

Choreography is both time-honored and modern and is approved before hand. As highlighted by UNESCO, these shows are not only for entertainment but also are [in the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.]

Puerto Vallarta will be host to dancers, musicians and crafts-people from Chihuahua, Colima, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Oaxaca, Sinaloa, Coahuila, Michoacan, D.F. (District Federal), Baja, Aguascalientes and other parts of Jalisco. Performances begin in the evenings at 7 pm on the above dates; the main venues are Parque Hidalgo, Los Arcos (The Arches) on the Malecón and at Agustín Flores Contreras Municipal Sports Stadium.

We are among those frequent travelers who have seen almost every in and out of Puerto Vallarta while traveling across plenty of times and luckily, never encountered any problem or some ‘bad’ experience. Thanks to Lord.

There have been times when we left our laptops or tablets unintentionally in the knapsack and received no questions or penalties against it.  But, while being a legal citizen, we don’t overlook the other side and follow the rules as best as we can to be on safe side.

In order to comply with every one’s safety needs, we either like to be rule-oriented rather than rule-breaker by giving polite responses upon getting questioned by the higher authorities .We must need to understand the fact that the people hired in security is for the sake of our safety and we need to cooperate with them by realizing the hard points of their job and tedious day out with blazing sun at the top of their heads.

The job that they are doing is seriously a thankless service and a boring part that they are playing for their family hood.

Recently, we got an opportunity to check with the TSA rules and regulations enforced for passengers, to see the current listings in practice while traveling   to and from Puerto Vallarta for an incredible Vacation villas Puerto Vallarta and discovered that the request is for laptops to be removed from the carrier and placed in a separate bin for x-ray screening.

This service can be availed during weekdays and holidays, between normal business hours.

It’s a good thing to check if you have even the remotest thought about something not being permitted. Sometimes when you think you’ve done it all right, you end up being the subject of additional screening if an item triggers any kind of alarm at the checkpoint. This is why we need to get to the airport early.

It’s a common practice in US, to unload firearms in a locked hard-sided container and get it properly declare through customs before travel, but don’t ever try to bring one to Puerto Vallarta.

As per an interesting stats, the number of international airline passengers landing at the airports across seven most popular and exotic Mexican destinations is rising up and this doesn’t withstand with government’s efforts to improve the tourism industry across the whole Mexico since, only some areas are most visited as compared to the others that are still undiscovered by the tourists.

Tourism Secretariat (Sectur) data discloses an increased number of arrivals of worldwide tourists in Cancún, Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Cozumel and the actual percentage was around 92.1%for all global arrivals by air  in the month of January alone with a promotion at peak in the same month for the past three years

In January 2017, international passenger arrivals at the same destinations represented 91% of all air arrivals, while a year earlier they made up 88.9% of the total.

While in an interview session with Mexican Hotel and Motel Association (AMHM) president Rafael García while conversing with a local newspaper Milenio, he blamed the federal government behind all this and opinioned that federal government still fails to actively and sufficiently promote adventure, tourism, religious and medical voyage to the more least visited parts of the country despite of being so much progressive. This discriminatory approach is affecting the tourism opportunities in those affected parts of the region.

Though there a lot of cities in northern Mexico like, the ever lovely Tijuana and Chihuahua that contains great potential to attract foreign medical tourism, but the partial tourism campaigns released from government officials have badly failed to draw attention towards these sectors. While other Mexican states are equipped with serious gastronomic and cultural offerings that could attract and entrain the foreign tourists has now been totally overlooked. Added García.

By increasing direct international flights to regional destinations such as Guanajuato, Morelos, Puebla and Chiapas can be a better way to further expand the exposure of international tourism in these states alongside, inflating direct promotion of the country’s domestic attractions & destination points, as suggested by the AMHM president.

“We have to go after them [potential tourists] in the United States, Canada and Central America,” He further added.

The Mexican Federation of Tourism Associations (Fematur) accepted the fact that the government’s promotional efforts are somewhat biasedly directed towards the country’s main tourism destinations, i.e, beach resorts and urged that the authorities need to take a 360 degree turn by  putting greater emphasis on other regions as well.

Also as per Gracia, there is a think lack of international airlines that can fly to country’s regional destinations due to the fact that connecting such flights from the country’s main airports counts expensive.

Though the distribution of international tourists across Mexico vacation spots is not as even as it should be to promote; international tourism still continues to expand and remains as one of the most significant industries for the country.

Federal Tourism Secretary Enrique de la Madrid declared that an influx of 39.3 million foreign visitors came to Mexico last year in February with an increase of 4.2 million or 12% as compared to 2016 entrances.

As per de la Madrid, last year, the international tourists spent over $21.3 billion which will make the prospect ratio to reach up to 50 million by the end of year 2021.

The race is a measure of the calendar of revelries set to be held this year as Puerto Vallarta celebrates its 100th year as a metropolis and 50th anniversary as city on 31^st of May.

As reported by the Director of the race organizing committee, Humberto Muñoz Vargas, the 42.195 kilometers (26.219 miles) marathon will run through the main tourist routes of the city with an additional 21,097 kilometers (13.1 miles) half-mile marathon and a recreational race if approx. 5 kilometers has been scheduled with the intention to attract maximum number of tourist participation being a part of great sports festival. Besides cherishing and bucking up the runners, the spectators will be able to enjoy a full-time festivity fueled up with drinks, foods and music on the go at the main venue.

The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust for Mexico vacation spots has highly appreciated the enthusiastic organizers behind this sporting activity with great words and regarded this initiative as one of the most vibrant decision to boost up the country’s economy and an overall, great impact on the destination’s annual calendar.

This had been for the first time in the history of Puerto Vallarta to host a sports events with such a high aptitude of exposure and magnitude. Organizers had arranged an event place that could entertain a grand gathering of up to 2,500 athletes from Mexico and around the world, including high-level runners who wanted to experience this challenge in the most all-inclusive Mexican beach destination.

SCHEDULES AND ROUTE

Marathon at Puerto Vallarta had been planned to organize in this way:

The First Puerto Vallarta Marathon and the Half Marathon was to be taken place at 6:30 am on Sunday, 15^th of April, while the mini, 5-km recreational race was about to start at 8:30 am afterwards. The pre-decided time limit was six hours for the Marathon and three hours for the Half Marathon, respectively. At the end of the race, there were cash prizes waiting to be rewarded to the winners and runner-ups – first three of each category.

The start and finish lines were destined to close on Avenida Francisco Medina Ascencio, in front the Integral Port Administration facilities, where the Puerto Mágico (the new maritime terminal) has been built. From there it goes to the Agustín Flores sports stadium, turns around, and heads back along the boulevard to the intersection of Fluvial Vallarta.

The general director of the Marathon, Humberto Muñoz guaranteed at every possible step to offer a close coordination among the logistics in relation to the municipal, state and even federal authorities to temporary seal the roads along the route, as well as best ensured the safety of participants along with adequate arrangement of facilities like, hydration areas and port-a-potties along the race route as well as medical specialists and ambulances for special emergencies if required.

This applies only to pets shipped as cargo via the PetSafe program, not pets that fly in the cabin with their owners. Rates differ depending upon the weight of the pet plus carrier and the miles of the trip.

Famous Church of Puerto Vallarta

The church of Our Lady of Guadalupe has become an iconic attraction for all the visitors who came to see the beautiful city of Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Experience the Ionic Architecture

The beautiful architectural Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe was started in 1903. Before that, Puerto Vallarta was known is a sleepy fishing village and not on even on the map. The walls and pillars are still the same as constructed at that time. Through the years like other Churches, it has magnificently grown and expanded. The following years the church experienced further expansion with a main bell and a central chapel being added. After each work phase was completed unique and different architecture styles materialized which results in this magnificent structure admired as a beautiful architecture and a treasure to the state.

Emblematic Dome and Crown – A Mesmerizing View

The crown beautified the dome after the completion. It is said to be the most important element of the building of the Church. Because of having many conflicts between state and the Church in 1926 the building faced many delays in its construction. This conflict is said to be called the Cristero War and ended in 1929. The construction started again and the building was completed in 1952.  The structure was not ruly finished until the crown was added.  This beautiful illustration was designed by the artist Jose Esteban Ramirez Guareno and the Priest Rafael Parra Castillo, which helped in finishing touch of the crown to the building.

The visibility of the crown can be seen from many miles away making the church even more spectacular and enchanting. Over the years there have been several changes in the alterations of the church which is witnessed in the ionic structure we see today.

In 1995 the destruction of the original crown occurred by a strong earthquarke in the neighboring state of Colima. A replacement crown was sculpted by Carlos Terres and that replica is now on the top of the Church. This spectacular church and crown are the heartbeat of Puerto Vallarta and photographed by countless photographers.  Visiting the church is one of the best vacation spots in Mexico.

Tequila, of two types are produced in the town. The first one is pure agave, having the sugar comparatively more than the other, because of manufacturing by the Tequilana Weber Blue variety.

Every year, Circo de Los Niños hosts a  variety of shows to exhibit the talented talent and creative skills of these young minds being a part of this community building project which is truly unique and appreciable. These energetic minds from God Almighty to inspire many entrepreneurs and tycoons by their first-mover ideas to follow and lead as inspirations. Every kid gets excited to celebrate this year’s production project named as, voila!”, in association with the Orquesta Escuela de Puerto Vallarta (Puerto Vallarta Orchestra School, or OEPV) to develop a wave of an educated Mexico across Puerto Vallarta.

Luckily, the project received tremendous achievements and now is in its seventh year of development with OPEV being the helping hand in transforming the miserable lives of many innocent children & youth segment across the passionate region.

One of the core aims behind this culture-driven project is to reduce social issues of the Mexican society, reduce crime and addiction rate resulting through music and to morally upgrade the personalities of these kids, in attempt to shape up civilized citizens for future and the results showed impressive records.

Since circus during their early days used to be crowded with loads of music that plays a pivotal role in the mental development of kids through role plays, act and stage shows to add a must element of drama and passion with intensity to lit up the performance live. Interestingly, this year the addition of OEPV is going to be little more exciting to this year’s Circo de Los Niños with extra added magical effects to be launched within more than 15 diverse set of circus-art techniques that will be displayed being a part of this year’s production efforts alongside more decent acrobatic bands and musical beats to take the lead, bold feasts and classical mix that have always been a great part of  the Circo de los Niños’ precise history.

The chef was invited as a special guest for the Ministry of Tourism, during the launch of the Mexico Pavilion on Wednesday, January 17 for the ‘great ‘ cause, where she got the opportunity to present a free taste trial of some of the most exotic flavors of Nayarit , together with Mexican restaurant Tepic situated in Madrid region, for the attendees to enjoy an unlimited cuisine session  bathed in delicious aroma and colorful tangs, which is a specialty at the Mexican food pavilions with fresh ceviches of Nayarit.

“All of Nayarit is fertile ground, and the ample variety of foodstuff you can find in its beaches, valleys and mountains is enough to surprise every visitor,” chef Betty reported her comments in the end.

The promotional work of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association, kept the day going with dancing press cocktails that were shared among the top 29 media journalists who attended the event from Spanish media, including Vogue, Expansión, Cosmopolitan, El Español, Tentaciones de El País, Glamour, Guía del Ocio, In Style and Gastronomistas- to name a few.

Even only in the past two years, the price of this particular plant has risen six-fold, the report said. Due to this, the profit of the distillers has become low and now there are strong fears that the cost will affect both distributors and buyers.

This shortage has brought lots of problems for both the plant growers and the Tequila drinkers. It takes around 6 to 7 years for an Agava plant to become mature and ready to give a perfect Tequila taste. But, when there is a shortage of the plant, what farmers do that they pull the plants earlier and send them for the process from bottle to margarita glass.

One of the growers in Guanajuato, Maro Polo Magdaleno said,

“They are using four-year-old plants because there aren’t any others. I can guarantee it because I have sold them,”

 

According to figures from the National Tequila Industry Chamber (CNIT) and Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT), there are around 140 registered companies that require the supply of 42 million agaves. But, only 17.7 million blue agaves were planted in the year of 2011 to be plucked for this year.

Price Chart:

2016 price — 3.85 peso per kilo

2017 (end of year) — 22 pesos ($1.18)

($1 = 18.7096 Mexican pesos)

Due to all these things, it has become difficult for a low rate producer of Tequila to compete with the top and high quality producers. In fact, the president of CNIT, Luis Velasco once said,

“It doesn’t make sense for tequila to be a cheap drink because agave requires a big investment,”

 

Facing all these circumstances, plenty of Tequila drinkers are now quenching their thirst through other liquors like whisky, vodka, rum, and others. One of the smaller producers of Tequila Cascahuim also said that it is impossible for this particular drink to complete with other spirits like whisky, vodka, and others at the price of more than 20 pesos per kilo.

Not only the small producers, but this increasing cost will also affect even the industry giants in coming years. One of the top sellers said,

“If we continue like this a lot of companies will disappear.”

The Present of the National Committee for Agave Production in Tequila, Raul Garvcia said,

“We are sure this will have a strong impact on the big firms such as Cuervo or Sauza,”

 

Another reason for the shortage of agave plants is that they are also being used for other products like health supplements insulin, syrup, and others. Not only this, the agave plant thieves are also making trouble for both Tequila producers and drinkers!

To make this happen, the Mexican Federation of Surf has sent an official invitation to all the paddlers and surfers in Mexico to avail this stunning opportunity to represent their country. In this first SUP event of the year, around 80 young athletes from different parts of the country will participate with a hope to be part of the Mexican National SUP and Paddleboard Team.

Jose Amador Hermandez Madrigal, the director of the Municipal Sports Council (COMUDE) said in a press conference that this will be the first SUP event of the year and one of the most important. Through this event, the national team will be integrated for the World Cup in Brazil and the Pan American Games of Lima.

Angelica Estrade, the secretary general of the Jalisco Surfing Association, said the event will also be a festival in which, everyone from everyplace is invited to participate and provide his or her metals. She further said,

“The goal is to promote this sport that can be practiced by people of any age.”

The technical director of the Surfing Association, Felix Garcia said that Puerto Vallarta is an ideal location for this sort of events. Held on Playa Camarones and seen even through the Malecon, this special event of the national meeting will be highlighted with lots of excitement in Puerto Vallarta.

This year, it is going to be held on Sunday, 18^th February 2018 from 3:00 until 8:00 at the Centro de Fiestas Los Delfines, Luis Echeverria #9, Lo de Marcos, Bahía de Banderas. Have you been to Tianguis Lo De Marcos? Yes, this is the same location.

There are many good reasons for you to make your full presence in the event. The event will firstly feature live music all the time from starting to closing. Chairs will also be provided to those who want or need them. You can also book your chair for $100 pesos.

Along with live music, people will also be facilitated with delicious food made by the local restaurants. The restaurants will offer all kinds of foods and services from casual to Five Star Dining. International alliances generally do code-share agreements between each other in order to attract more customers. However, it is the first time in this region that two ultra-low-cost carriers have made this unique deal. Both the airlines came up with this deal just to help people to get better lower-cost connections between the two neighboring countries: the United States and Mexico.

“Many customers traveling between the U.S. and Mexico are forced to pay higher fares to fly, and this agreement will provide lower fares to a vast majority of the U.S. and Mexico population,” said Barry Biffle, Frontier president and CEO, on Tuesday.

There are three Mexican locations that Frontier currently flies to. The nonstop flights head from Denver – Cancun on year-round flights, and Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas on seasonal routes.  Chihuahua, Guadalajara, Monterey, and Mexico City are the four cities, Volaris flies from Denver International Airport to.

After the approval by federal government, it is expected that the code-share tickets will be available to public by this spring.

The organizer has also invited Santa Esperanza Children’s Shelter to make the event more interesting. The festival can be a great one for kids also as they will not only enjoy the free meal of ceviche and aguachile offered by the participating restaurants, but will also get amused with different entertaining activities arranged by the organizer.

Cattle farming skills are also turned into competitive stunts in Charrería.

In this 4 days of hot rodeo action, there are a number of festivities that you can enjoy. The contending teams will show off different techniques including bringing down rampaging bulls with lassos, jumping through the air onto wild mares, riding bucking broncos, and others. Along with different exciting ways of celebration, many people also celebrate it by eating 12 grapes exactly at the stroke of midnight. People from Barcelona to Peurto Vallarta, Mexico , like to enjoy the night in this manner. They firmly believe that this particular activity brings good luck for them in the coming year.

But why grapes? And why only 12? In this case, Numerology works and defines the hidden mystery behind this unique way of the celebration. Numerology tells us that each grape represents good luck in each month. Also, it gets only 12 seconds to eat those 12 grapes.

There is a common belief among people that there had been the wealthy from Madrid who copied this tradition from French people. French people would eat grapes and drinks a lot on the last day of the year. Today, the tradition is overwhelmingly celebrated all over in Mexico and different other Latin American countries.

There is also a similar tradition of eating 12 lucky grapes in Spain that is called “Aledo”. In Spain, grapes are wrapped in paper in June or July and different flavors and aroma is preserved when the grapes are ripped.

You need to eat methodically because this particular eating involves a competition. Don’t try to eat all the gapes at once because through this way, there are more chances that your mouth may become jammed.

For 2017-2018, the colors of the flag are white on the top with a green stripe in the middle, and a gray look on the bottom having a picture of a While in the middle. Every vessel that is going for a whale watching trip is required to wave this flag and also keep a copy of the permit.
