Sports fishing (inshore) is fishing from a boat in easy sight of land. Typically 4 to 6 hours is the best amount of time for this type of fishing. In Bahía de Banderas, most of the catches inside the bay are of small species, like Skip-Jack Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, Bonito and Jack Crevalle. From time to time, but depending on the depth, you could catch yellowfin tuna or sailfish inside the bay. If you prefer more abundant but smaller catches, sports fishing is for you.
Deep Sea Fishing (offshore) is fishing in deep water (more than 90 feet deep) and at some distance from land. If you are interested in catching a pelagic (marlin, tuna, sailfish, dorado), plan on 8 hours to 12 hours. Our professional crews will do the dirty work for you, teach you the bases (if you need guidance) and help you with everything you need. Of course, if you want to get your hands dirty, you are invited to!
